What do you think would be a fair price for an eBook of street photography from Taipei? Non-DRM'd, ePub for iBooks/Sony eReader/B&N Nook and PDF for everything else.

I just finished my first short story in a very, very long time (maybe 20 years...I'm shifting from photography back to writing for a bit.) and would appreciate some thoughts & feedback on it.

Basically, it's a love letter to H. P. Lovecraft, set in the context of the Taiwanese cultural staples of night markets and fermented tofu. Yes, there are tentacled things and a touch of madness. It's ~6000 words, so a 20-30 minute read and it's paginated into 3 parts. It's also mobile-ready for reading on a phone.

All thoughts are appreciated.

Thanks much!

So yeah, I've just finished up a weird sci-fi horror short story...again, with TENTACLES (and a Taipei night market, a punk gangster, and a radio...sort of).

I would truly appreciate a read and any comments you may have. You can read the short story in it's entirety on my author's blog.

Shift Space, my Writer's Blog (with Tentacles!)

Most of my friends know that besides photography, reading, and being frustratingly annoying I like to write. I especially like to write in the same genre of  movies and books I consume the most, science fiction. Up until now I’ve either not published the things that I’ve written or, in the case of my current endeavor, serialized it to my street photography & travel blog. Recently I have to decided to put a little more effort in to my writing and as part of that effort I’ve decided to separate my public linguistic expressions from my photographic expressions.

Who the heck are you?
I'm Brian.

Okay, what I mean is "what are you doing?"
I'm typing at my computer. Well, I mean by the time you read this I will obviously already have finished typing and saving it and will probably be doing something else... .

That's NOT what I mean! I mean, what makes you so special?
My fingerprints?

You're a jerk.
No. I'm a Brian.

WHAT DO YOU DO HERE AT dA?!?
Sheesh. No need to yell. Nothing anymore. For 18 months I was the Street Photography Gallery Moderator. Now I'm retired and enjoy being a genre Nazi.

I'm currently interested in stalking you. What are you outside of DeviantArt?
In a previous life I was a software engineer. Then the bubble burst on that and now in my current existence I am an Elementary school teacher. I was born and raised in the South Bay area of California (err...not Oakland, but the SoCal South Bay...Torrance, Hawthorne, Carson, etc... .). A few years back I took a software engineering contract in Taipei, Taiwan and moved 10,000 Km to the left. I've been here in the R.O.C. ever since.

Brian, will you FAQ me?
