That's one thing I love about Taipei: the artificial lighting. It's always strong and casts great color.

In the digital age it has a lot to do with the image processor in the camera, I think. The Xperia(?) 5 image chip in the Oly does a good job. :)

So does this mean for stores where there's no sign shoplifting is ok?

It just seems rather idiotically redundant.

My guess is that they must have an issue with shoplifters. These signs are very big and everywhere in the store...some with handcuffs, some with graphics of police hats. They also have obnoxiously large CCTV cameras throughout. Take a look next to the cashier at the monitor.
