I just assigned my last Daily Deviation as Gallery Moderator for the Street category. I was going to be snarky and find a photo of a street light or...no, wait... an HDR photo with a photoshopped sky of a street
... but then I realized that it would probably come off as being less snarky and more asshole.
What's next for me at dA? Well,
has asked me to help admin a little, and that's a great place to be so I think I'll do that. Once I'm in that capacity I'll propose my idea for a massive street photography education blitz. A civil way of education dA at-large about the basics of what makes a street photograph (Spoiler! It's not a street! or a random photo taken in a city of lamps on a building!)
And I'll need all of your help. But more on that after the transition.
Thanks to the dA community staff who are all wickedly cool folk and especially
for the opportunity to do what I've been doing for the past year and a half. Also muchas gracias a mi agmigos y amigas in the street photography niche of dA. You love what you do as much as I do.
Finally, a big, big thanks to all those who supported me during what was probably the most difficult period of my life earlier this year. I appreciated it more then I can ever physically express.
That's it. More tomorrow when the ^ is replaced by a `. Now on to some features.

So I'm self-publishing a book at Lulu.com. Why Lulu? Better (lower) pricing and shipping costs you you guys.
The book is entittled Taipei Streets and I'm hoping to make it an annual publication. It's 39 pages long and contains my favorite photos from the past year as well as a couple of short essays to go along with the themed chapters, which are:
You can buy my book here:
It's in a medium-size 8.5"x8.5" square format (which accommodates horizontal and vertical images equally well) and I've made it available in print (US$19.55) and ebook (140MB pdf, US$6.25) versions. For the e-book version (I think) you need to go to my Lulu storefront page
Thank you so much in advance for all your support and encouragement in this first-step.
